ELP&DP in Toronto - superb

Marvelous show - both DP and ELP - BRAVO!

I've never seen ELP before but they were exactly as I imagined - wild, especially Keith, and precise. Greg's vocals were amazing. I was also impressed by Palmer's performance. Overall, it was great.

Deep Purple confirmed, once more that they're still there. As a (former very) big fan I always enjoy listening their tunes. Seeing them (for the second time) has been a thrill. Last time it was in '91 in Budapest with Ritchie but without Ian G. I must say, at that time, Joe Lynn Turner was great but Ian Gillan was perfect for the simple reason that it was his voice that I was so familiar with. Nonetheless, his performance was spectacular - I could not believe my ears that someone at his age can sing the same as some 25 years ago.

Steve Morse was great, he is a brilliant guitarist but again, he is not who I am used to hear (or see). No offense made, I hope. If Ritchie would play his songs it would be the same.

The show was an overall success in my opinion. I think the musicians enjoyed it too. It would be interesting to know Roger's opinions (or anyone's from the band for that matter) - if they remember anything from that night.

The lights were excellent especially during Ian Paice's solo. The sound was a bit too loud, my ears are still popping after 12 hours.

Hope to see them again soon...

Thanks,
Mircea
