Deep Purple Milwaukee 8/24

Knowing this was a night the Packers were playing I was wondering why I was going to go to a rock concert!!!!...boy was I wrong!!
Deep Purple played a set fit for the Super Bowl!!!! They still know how to rock and I contend could blow the socks off any band today.
Despite the small crowd the energy level was high both in the audience and on stage. Ian was "primo", Steve was more than capable, Jon was, well Jon was Jon, Ian played the drums with reckless abandon--play on words, and Roger looked like he was enjoying himself. All in all I can't wait till they return-please!!!!
ELP was rather self indulgent and Keith Emerson portrayed himself the king of "sour" notes. My six year old son can make a piano sound better than he can. Keith-time to hang it up, what was once barely listenable is hardly discernable today as music much less noise. Sorry.

Never saw Dream Theatre-who cares. The night was obviously for DP.
