The Warfield 8-28-98

The show at the Warfield on August 28, 1998 was fantastic! I won't comment on ELP or Dream Theater as I did not come to see them and have really no opinion. As far as Purple goes they were incredible. I had to leave just a bit early but the song listings were as follows.

Vavoom:Ted The Mechanic
Strange Kind Of Woman
Bludsucker
Pictures Of Home
Almost Human
Woman From Tokyo
Watching The Sky
Any Fule No That
Guitar Solo (kick ass!! Mr. Morse you rule)
Smoke On The Water

Of course then I had to leave or miss my train and walk the streets of San Fran. for a few hours. This concert is one I have been waiting for 14 years and my dreams came true. Deep Purple is truly the most professional and musically talented group around!
A drunk piece of shit next to my friend threw a shoe at the band and shouted "where is Blackmore?" He was dragged off by security. That really pissed me off! I hope to see Purple again this was a night to be remembered not a single mistake made. By the way what kind of medicine does Ian consume anyway? He tripped on a speaker(oops). Thanks guys you rule the planet the concert was truly awesome!

PS.
In addition to my review I meant no disrespect to IAN GILLAN. In regards to his medicine consumption it was merely a joke. Deep Purple is not only my favorite band it is a religion they are my higher power somewhat in a sense they take me away from my troubles and make life more tolerable. Thanks guys for the concert!
