Concert Review
I saw Deep Purple last night in San Francisco, CA and they left the building in cinders, charred embers! In other words they SMOKED! An hour and thirty-five minutes of blistering renditions of the old and new material,thank you A_BAND_ON. I was concerned as everyone else about Ian's voice, but to my shock not only did he pull it off, he basically sounded like he did in the 70's, unfuckingreal, as did the others in the band. If you've seen kids in a candy store or can imagine it, that was Deep Purple last night, totally beside themselves having the most important element FUN.
To all you purple freaks out there - GO SEE THIS TOUR IF THERE WITHIN A STATE OR TWO WHERE YOU LIVE, YOU WON'T REGRET IT! - because you never know when their last tour (say it isn't so) will be. If it ended on this one I'd be extremely proud of myself and them to have witnessed these LEGENDS for the last time.
