Purple stage in Deep world

Well, well, well.

I'm 41 years old. I was just a teenage kid, when I bought my first record. It was a 2 LP-set from a band named Deep Purple. The title - "Made In Japan". When you opened the cover there was a black and white picture of an ended concert, a picture of the stage with a banner over the top with the name of the band. I've often thought about why I get that strange kind of feeling looking at that picture. A feeling of release.

I wondered if I could catch the same emotion when the show was over Sunday evening. Well I did feel released and very happy as well. It was somehow a sort of climax after so many years. I think you have guessed right, it was my first concert with the band.

I will not comment on the songs nor the members of the band. Others have done that. I just want to say one thing. If you are ready to substitute Mr. Jon Lord you are a very brave person. I think Don did a great job. Thank you.

Just remember that whenever there's a Deep world, there's a Purple stage.

Thanks for a great gig.

Kim René Tolstrup
