A brilliant show considering their was some jet lag after Tuesday's show with Pavarotti. Ian Gillan sang superbly. He looks great. The best shape he has been in for along time. The whole band played well.

I got the chance to speak to Roger Glover and learned a few things about the band. First of all there will not be a new album this year. The band will go into the studio after the European dates to record the new album. Afterwards they will go on a lengthy US tour. The plan is to spend a lot of time in America.

I also learned that there will be a 25th Anniversary remaster of "Burn". It is happening now, and Roger will be involved.

Thank you Roger for the passes and your time. I recommend seeing Purple when they come to your town. They are second on the bill to Lynyrd Skynyrd, but they are the highlight of the evening.
