The D.C. show on Mon. 11/25 was incredible. The whole show was very tight and sounded great. It's as if Steve has been in the band since the beginning. By the way, who was that guy who Steve replaced? Blacksomething? Enough negativity. I always dug Deep Purple and when Steve joined the band I have become a huge fan. This is the best show I've seen since the Dixie Dregs reunion show back in '92.

I have never seen Steve Morse play in a band with vocals. Steve brough amazing life to the older tunes. He played great on Hush. I've seen Steve Morse several times and I have all his albums and he is the most incredible guitar player I've ever heard. Steve and Jon did a lot of dueling at various points during the show. Steve did this extremely well in the Dregs show several years ago. Jon's playing was impressive also. The best tune of the evening was Cascades. I am dissapointed that they did not play A Touch Away. That's my favorite one from Purpendicular. The best part of the evening is the end when I caught Ian's drumstick.

If anyone digs Steve Morse, you should get some of his solo stuff. The album "Southern Steel" is incredible. Also, "High Tension Wires" is a great album also with a more mellow pace. I'm not surprised to hear that Steve is playing with the Steve Morse Band during the holidays. I don't think the man has taken a break since stopped to become a pilot. And even then he was doing something. He has put out four solo albums, two Dregs albums (correct me if I'm wrong), one Deep Purple album and has prety much toured all in between. At the same time all those albums are of very high quality.

I just hope that Deep Purple will incorporate Steve for a long time to come. That show was incredible. Thanks Deep Purple!

Mike
