Concert in Quebec

The concert presented by Deep Purple last friday was awesome. One local newspaper claimed that the concert was the greatest rock concert presented in Quebec city this year. Well I must agree, a saw a lot of shows this year but none of them approched the quality or emotion that Deep Purple produced. The sound was great, the band had a very cool attitude, and the music...WOW! The last Deep Purple concert in Quebec city was 11 years ago in 1985 with Richie on guitar. Althouh I'am DP fan since I was a teenager (the first record I ever bought was "made in Japan") the absence of Blackmore didn't bother me at all. The addition of Steve Morse is rebirth for DP, it gives the band a new dimension. I just can't wait for the release of a new live album!!
