Purple in Toronto

I went to see Deep Purple at the Warehouse in Toronto last night. Wow! This is the third time that I have seen them and I must say that this show rivals the excitement of the Perfect Strangers tour which was special for obvious reasons.

I can't get over how much Steve Morse has revitalized the band (and I am a huge Blackmore fan!). Every body seems at ease and looks like they are really having fun. The more obscure material like No One Came and Pictures of Home really helps too! Oddly enough the material that was geting old and cliched (Machine Head etc...) had new life this time around.

Although the show was 2 hours long and my legs were killing me from standing I could have stayed and watched them all night! The opening act "Wild T and the Spirit" (former Hendrix tribute act) were fantastic. If you are into Stevie Ray, Eric Gales or even Jimi, chech them out!

All in all a great night of music!!!
