DEEP PURPLE LIVE IN CHICAGO - 11/29/96 AT THE ROSEMONT HORIZON

Last Night Deep Purple played at the Rosemont Horizon. Purple hit the stage at 9pm with an electrifying version of HUSH. The show was as fresh as the new album and filled with many suprises. All members seemed to be enjoying themselves on stage and Steve Morse proved to be a great stage presence. He was kicking beach balls back into the audience throughout the show. The poor acoustics of the Rosemont was the only down side. This was the best Purple show I've seen. The energy these guys have even after years of touring was suprising. Highlights of the show include a superb Steve Morse solo during Cascades, No One Came, The acoustic version of The Aviator, the revamped version of Smoke which slides into Jons solo. I can't what for the next album and tour to follow. To Mr's Gillan, Morse, Glover, Lord & Paice; Thanks for a fond memory of the greatest live attraction in music today.

Thanks also for playing When a Blind Man Cries, I've been waiting 20 yours for that one, CHEERS!
