Stadio Centrale del Tennis, Roma, Italy
June 3, 2003

It was my 8th DP concert and it was great even if too short. Deep Purple began with a superb version of Highway Star with fans singing every word. Then they played two songs which excited a lot hardcore fans: Mary Long and I'm alone.
T hey also played two new songs: Haunted (a ballad) and I've Got Your Number (a great rock song).
The show continued with sensational versions of Lazy, Perfect Strangers and Space Truckin'.
Smoke on the water (without guitar parade which many guys appreciate), Pictures of home and Speed King were pure hard-rock but there weren't too much improvisations.
Don Airey did very well: his solo was intergalatic.
The encores were heavy versions of Hush and Black Night. After the show we've got autographes from Steve, Roger and Gillan! I also touched Morse's hand: a great emotion!
A wonderful purple night in rome. Deep Purple forever.
