These boots were made for... pouring

We weren't the only ones who missed half of Dio's concert because the tickets said the show would begin at 8.30pm and it really started around 6pm. This is a matter of (perfect German) organisation and Dio or DP cannot be blamed for this.

Dio, sorry I heard only his last five songs, still has a perfect voice (isn't he 60 years old?) and I think he's in his fourth or fifth youth! Compared with the members of Deep Purple, The Planets unfortunately are just ordinary musicians.

Deep Purple's show was as always: simply perfect. Even Petrus (responsible for the weather) added some flashes to the show. I believe there was also some rain, because there is still water in my shoes.

OK, missing the Lord of the Hammond, who is impossible to replace. Don did his best, but his playing still feels like he's a bit scared of the shoes he has to fill. In case he is going to find his own way of playing (please Don, don't try to imitate Jon) there is still a fruitful future for the band. I hope he will find his own way of playing with Deep Purple like Steve did after sometime, replacing Blackmore. Blackmore was and is one of the best guitarist but Steve has ensured that nobody is missing him.

Waiting for the new CD - kind regards to the band.

Thanks,
Helge Holst
