Out of this world

I came to London on a black night, a somewhat elderly speed king flying like smoke across the water on his way to taste the band once again.

You know, somebody told me that only ted the mechanic can fix my loose strings and I thought to myself, "Well, if that's the real picture of my home I should give it a try." But wait, what about this bloodsucker Richie, is he still there? No, they told me there is somebody new and he is a real aviator.

I'm not lazy but I tried staying in bed on Friday hoping that time will pass quicker, and it was early evening when I took the tube to Hammersmith and met some friends I never knew before, but we all waited together. Somehow it got to 8:30pm and time didn't have a meaning anymore.

The show was a once in a life time thing (like all DP shows) - a wonderful journey across the ages and Purple stages. Woman From Tokyo, The Aviator, Mary Long and Smoke On The Water. It was amazing (Steve and his guitar), unbelievable (Jon), funy (Ian Gillan), and out of this world (Paice and Glover).

With the flu Ian Gillan preformed better than any healthy singer and the audience felt it and showed it. But like all dreams this one also had an end and now I'm back home still digesting the perfect performence and counting the days to the next one.
