Worth a 20-year wait

Having managed to miss my favourite band at every opportunity I finally made it (with a reluctant wife in tow). It was a great night, they are such superb musicians and seem to still enjoy it. A shame about Ian's voice - it was apparent from the start that things weren't right - a lot of coughing, a lot of trips backstage for lubrication/medication and some missed lines. But he didn't complain or make excuses but tried to soldier on. Steve Morse was very fast on lead and added a new dimension to the old favourites. Overall a great night with the set nearly two hours long.

Thanks guys - see you in 20 years?

Mark Thompson
