Royal Albert Hall

It finally happened. Deep Purple have spoilt the rest of my life. Never, EVER will I be able to attend a better concert than RAH on September 26. "Pictures Of Home" with a full orchestra backing up, RJD (although wearing a silly shirt) singing "Love Is All" (which even made Roger's mum dancing), the Concerto (especially that incredibly beautiful First Movement), the gorgeous Sam Brown with her divine voice, Steve Morse showing once again he's the best thing that has happened to Purple in the nineties, the amazing acoustics of the Albert Hall itself, Roger Glover's ultra-firm bass lines, Ian Paice as usual showing he's the God of drummers (and who needs two bass drums anyway? [Well, he actually has a double-pedal... - Ed.]) and Jon Lord just being Jon Lord (which says enough)... It was way too much!
