It was simply direct-injection with only a Boss distortion/feedbacker pedal and a '57 Stratocaster. It's more a matter of touch than equipment. And even he used a very special Marshall (Major) which is more like a Monster Hifi Amp. If you´re a damn good player you can use a Les Paul and a Fender Twin and get a Blackmore Tone. But it is mostely a good idea to buy one of BSMs Trebelboosters. Ritchie used them (old stuff of course), he knew what a treble booster or a Reel-to-reel-Preamp could do to your sound. A kid that knows ritchie says he got a real castle in england with a room all black furniture for blackmore & a big romm fulla marshalls & stuff practicing!!!!!!!
