He was introduced to me by a friend whom like myself was a Purple fanatic during the time when Purple didn't exist. Moore fell into the Purple 'Family Tree' by encompassing himself with Purple People during the '80's. From that point on, I fell in love with his style and always felt he should have been the replacement for 'TMIB' in Purple. Cozy will always be missed (by those who know who he was), and was the consement, all around drummer who could do it all. He fit in wherever needed and did it well. Don Airey is a great musician. i appreciate his synthesizer work very much, even more than his Hammond playing.

Dio's a quality singer and his voice is still very good to this day . Have a listen to the new Black Sabbath album. Those earley Rainbow albums are timeless, Ritchie's guitar playing was at it's best back then. After that Cozy when on to greater things , Michael Schenker Group, Black Sabbath,Brain May etc he was a really great sounding drummer. His playing still sounds modern and interesting. I'm gald i bought some more albums with his drumming on them. Plus after Purple i bought some Gillan albums which all sound great. Really like Tommy Bolin as well , have bought some of his other work. Both Cozy Powell and Ronnie James Dio were the best thing to come out of the Purple family .
