If I'm not mistaken, the riff from Burn came from a Gershwin song. I don't remember the name but the riff's from there.

I love it!! A brass band, a symphony orchestra or a rock band, they can all power perform!

Music is a breaker of borders, and this goes to show just how good great music will cross all perceptions of genres.

I am a rock´n´roller at heart, however I love all great music!

Knowing that I was a big Deep Purple fan, some students from the jazz band in the school where I work got together and serendaded me by playing "Smoke on the Water" outside my classroom window early in the morning some years back.

This is actually a symphonic band. Someone took a great deal of time to score this, and they did a great job. A lot more work than one might think was devoted to the final product.

Japanese people always have to offer something outstanding and special while covering Deep Purple.
the last time I watched them covering maybe Smoke or Highway (don't remember) played by the Japanese folk-instruments, in National Japanese clothes. this was the great example how Purple's music can fit and rule two absolutely different cultures (western and eastern)
