You are absolutely bloody right Svante! Underrated vocalist - at least outside the UK, where I know she has performed frequently with Jools Holland’s orchestra - and a good songwriter too! I should look for the Sam Brown albums I haven’t got this very minute! Thanks for reminding me!

I have a few of her singles and LP’s from back when she was on the “Purple record lable”. I’ve always considered her as one of the best…..but then, Purple generally surround themselves with the best.

Maybe when Candice leaves Ritchie, he will replace her with Ms Brown. She is much more talented than Night and has better range. I’d love to hear her do some of the Blackmore’s Night tunes. Then you’d have 2 extremely talented people instead of a mediocre “monotone harlot” riding on the guitar virtuoso’s tights.

The favourite female voice for me.

A great singer a fuabulous musician.

Hmmmm… The Hammond -Solo in the long (abum) version of her greatest hit “Stop” - alwways sound to me as it would be played by Jon Lord. But the album notes say it another keyboarder.But it’s a fantstic hammond-solo.
