Car ads with Deep Purple songs are becoming a staple in Brazil also, but with cover versions. Recently, they did one with Highway Star and another one with Burn.

High class on both the audio and video! DP was revealed onto me in 1982 by my 11-year older brother-in-law and by every year and every concert the whole thing just grows on one. The aim must be to obtain a Jaguar and to get DP to play at ones private party…………..

Classy commercial for Jaguar! I just got a Jag in December. It’s not new but it’s gorgeous. I’d wanted one for ten years.

Best commercial I have seen and a very long time. Music and car catches your attention that you watch until the end. Very seductive. I would love to own a Jaguar.

I can see the “Elvis-ish” comment too. It has “A little less conversation” feel to it in how it’s sung. I’m also interested in who recorded this version of Hush for the commercial

    Donna says:

    Who sings this song HUSH?

Rod Evans is the vocalist on this early Deep Purple hit … “Hush” (written by Joe South) was the big hit on DP’s first album, “Shades of Deep Purple.” Rod would do two more albums with the band before leaving (or maybe being fired) and replaced by Ian Gillan around 1969. Rod went on to form Captain Beyond, recording two albums with that band. CB’s biggest hits probably were “Dancing Madly Backwards” and “Sufficiently Breathless.”
