[ d e e p P u r . p l e ) The Highway Star

DP in Czech Republic

On Monday 16th November DP gave their fourth performance in the Czech Republic. To be very brief it was AMAZING.
The show started with domestic band Katapult with their simple rock music based on hard and blues rock. The special guest of the night were British veterans Status Quo. Their show takes about one hour and was good starter for Purple men. The crowd in Sport Hall was about fourteen thousand people and the atmosphere was really hot.
Lights went down and and the roar of crowd was very noisy. On the dark stage we saw five men greeting people and in a few seconds after they STARTED. Excellent version of Ted the Mechanic with a lot of energy, perfect sound a and lights.
It was my third DP show this year. I also saw them in Katowice and in Vienna. Both of the shows were perfect but what they offer to the fans this autumn is incredible. They continue with SKOW and a very dynamic version of Bludsucker. The playlist was similar to what you can see on other shows of this tour including Black Night and Highway Star as encores.
I saw Ian Paice - really best drummer in the world these days, I saw Ian Gillan without any trace of voice problems, I saw Jon Lord with his musical feeling, I saw Roger Glover who, together with Paice create a perfect rhythm section and finally I saw Steve Morse who's looking to be with the band for ages. Nobody can't forget contribution of Ritchie to purple music but at this present time Steve is really the right man in right position. Thank you very much for your music. God bless you.
