Antwerp, September 30th 2000

Good evening, this is Lapini Diego, I attended "The Concerto" a few hours ago, the first date in Europe. Let's start with the problems. As happened in South America (according to the news I have read) it was all about the typical group of drunken idiots, shouting and asking for "Child In Time" and "Smoke On The Water" during the orchestral sections. Paul Mann was forced to cut almost ten minutes from "The Second Movement". I hope better for the next dates. The good news is that the setlist is, for me, the most interesting up until now:

"Pictured Within"
"Sitting In A Dream"
"Love Is All"
"Fever Dreams"
"Rainbow In The Dark"
"Wring That Neck"
"Ted The Mechanic"
"Pictures Of Home"
"Guitar String" (new track from Steve)
"Fools"
"When A Blind Man Cries"
"Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming"
"Concerto 1, 2, 3"
"Perfect Strangers"
"Smoke On The Water"

The atmosphere after the second movement was algida [What?! Ed.]; Jon looked angry. I surely was angry.

I met Ian Paice out in the street. He's great.
