Deep purple in Tel Aviv

Deep Purple live at Nokia Arena (Tel Aviv, Israel 2014-02-22)

A superb performance by the band and they sound the same as they were 40 years ago. Being a fan in the great audience I enjoyed the whole performance , feeling young and bringing back memories from the rocking years of the 60’s & 70’s.
Have a colection of CD’s & Vinyl records with some live performances on Dvd’s too. Though missed Richie Blackore and Jon Lord, still sounds awesome and I thank the band for still being so Suberb. Don’t have pics from the last concert but from the 2011 show at Caesarea . Wish the band many more years of great performances. Thanks.

Err… How can they sound the same as 40 years ago? They didn’t even come close with the reformation in the 80’s let alone with two different musicians in the band. Morse’s Music Man /Engl set up is totally different tonally to Ritchie’s Strat/Marshalls!

Semantics, semantics. They sounded good, great, excellent as a unit 47 years ago, they sounded good, great, excellent in the just shy of mid-seventies, they sounded good, great, excellent in the 80’s, they sounded good, great, excellent in the mid to late 90’s, followed by the first, and now second decade of the 21st century.

    Next?

    Peace,
    Ted
