Best show in Milano

After many DP shows in Milan, this is been the first where group use large screens at side of the stage. Strange that they’re using them in the smallest venue available in city where everyone is able to see the show as to be on the stage.

Probably this has been the best DP show even seen here in Milan, quite good setlist and great quality of sound .

Some thoughts:

Now Don Airey seems to be part of the band and it plays with more personality the Lord’s stuff as well. His solo section sounds a little bit older but it’s efficient. Good point is the use of analog synth tone over the usual pianos and Hammonds patches.

Ian Paice is always the killer drummer. Perfect.

Roger Glover more involved in the act rather expected. Walk and move on stage as a young boy.

Steve Morse is the master of the new tracks, usually fantastic as player and extremely precise to maintain the old songs with the original soul. If DP still alive we’ve to thank the long blonde hair guy. You’re the man!

Ian Gillan try to cover his lack voice with an energized stage presence but our songs needs a rock voice. I’m worried that the future of DP will depend from his vocal strings. The different style and the too much higher tune required let impossible to hear Ian Gillan sing Burn or Mistreated so we can’t expect this now or in the future.

Audience was enthusiastic and fit the venue everywhere.

I want to thank the band to respect the hour of the show starting time.

Giuseppe
