Drew Thompson July 31, 2001

Hello all
This is my second attempt at posting - I hope this time it makes it!
Just a brief note to thank everyone for your support for all the
Thames/Thompson releases over the past few years. I have been receiving
a lot of mail lately, so I thought I should get in touch.
The Soundboard series has been a huge success with all copies selling
out within days. The problem is that these projects are all under
license, and are heavily scrutinized due to record deals and other
legalities, not to mention the huge costs involved with production and
manufacture. As such, I know that there has been a lot of disappointed
fans who , I know, have missed out at this stage - Please be patient as
we are trying to have a further pressing authorized.
This brings me to the latest release-out today-DP Live at the Rotterdam
Ahoy. With  a new album due for release in mid-late 2002, and a live DVD
from the recent Florida show for 2002 also, we realized it would be a
quiet period for all DP fans. It was decided to record a show as a
historical piece , representative of the 'concerto' tour. Wow, what  a
decision - the show is superb. Unfortunately due to contractual
restrictions, the actual concerto movements have been left off, but
don't be disappointed ,as this is , in my opinions, one of the GREAT DP
live recordings. But please be aware - This release will only be
available via the web and concert merchandise. As such numbers are
limited, with DP management keen to provide a great momento of the tour
to the website fans in appreciation of your support. So check out either
the online store, DPAS or merchandise stalls on the forthcoming August
dates. Remember this is definitely a limited edition pressing.
Anyway, thanks again for all your support. Check out the "Purple Heart "
over the next few days, with a new web address
"http://www.deeppurple.com.au", and a new look
Cheers
Drew
