In the interview, Ian emphasizes that the event would be “fun.” My Wife, Brittany, and I attended the Sunflower Jam, and were thrilled with the performances. And, it was exactly what Ian promised–fun–from beginning to end. I smiled, danced, sang along to Black Night, and cried, especially during the Jon Lord tribute. What a wonderful show, for a great cause. And Royal Albert Hall was beautiful. Thank you, Deep Purple, for once again leading me on a fulfilling journey that I would never have experienced without having become fanatic about the music.

I m beginning to think that the approach of The Sunflower Jam is a better one than the ArmeniaAid-Concept .

I seriously hope both(…) will not fall apart before that but ……

Maybe Gillan and Iommi could, like Jackie Paice is organising, join forces now and then with other classic rockers and give people a festival alike the SFJam but with heavier music?

I know the musicindustry is having a bad time but recording it for the sake of money for causes like Armenia might be a good idea.

It might also instill once more a preferable thought in the general public about rockmusic and their following .

It might nuance the idea all rockers/metalheads are anti social lunatics with their tongue hanging out their mouth all the time, dripping with blood.

Gene Simmons, just as an example, has done very very good for himself.
I think I read he does a lot for good causes, dont know the facts about it though.

Maybe I m missing out and already a lot is done by rockmusicians?
