J. Lennon digs G. Hughes

Glenn Hughes, image from F.U.N.K. presskit

That’s Julian Lennon by the way… 😉

On his Facebook page Lennon Jr. writes:

I had the pleasure of going to see Glenn Hughes play tonight in Islington. I can say, without a doubt, he is one of the best singers/songwriter/performers I have ever seen. His range is Mind blowing! And his talent knows no bounds… If he’s playing in your neighbourhood, I urge you to go see him play LIVE, whether with Black Country Communion, or as a solo artist.

Just Amazing… Initially the show explodes with Rock tunes, the likes of which have been missing from our airwaves for many years now, but then Glenn also opens up & shows us his abilities as a Funk/Jazz/Soul/Blues performer. Outstanding…

A GREAT night out! – Looks like we might try a little writing together too… 😉

It would be interesting to see what the said “little writing together” comes to…

Yes, the idea would be cool: Hughes and Lennon’s writing together! I can’t wait for the result 🙂

Saw the pictures a week ago or so.
    Indeed, nice to see.

    There are more celebrities btw.
Cherie from The Runaways for example.

Maybe a aqaintance through his liasion with…..

No, I m wrong……Linda Blair is from The Exorcist.

Lita Ford from the Runaways had a relation with Iommi.
Maybe around 1986, 7th Star days, Glenn got to know the women from the Runaways?

I can’t believe how Glenn aloud someone to post that terrible photo on the net. He looks like a rich bitter old lady.

    Jeff Summers says:

Lita Ford is rumoured to have had an affair with Blackmore also Priest, and I’m pretty sure that was before Iommi.

I also remember David Bowie exuding the talents of GH back in the mid 70’s…Glenn has many admirers in lofty places :o)

Personally I hope it doesn´t happen…..what´s the purpose ??? Glenn sure doesn´t need Lennon JR to write good songs, just remember the crappy albums from the eighties…..Gosh, they were horrendous ! If his surename was Clutterbuck or McDuff, no one would have cared !!!

Think he looks more like Gary Glitter, a truly awful hair-do

Apparently Dusty Hill of ZZ Top likes him too, there is a recent photo of them together.

@ Andres: Thats what I thought too ….but….thats how he actually looks like.
The big question among many GH fans is rather: Are these black glasses still removable???
I think I havent seen a picture of Glenn in over 4 years without wearing glasses.
To the full-paid defenders: I do know he needs glasses because of his eyesight, but the main reason for the black ones are actually the same reasons why JLT wears a similar model, which is actually to reveal his wrinkled eyes, as everyone knows.

I think GH would look much better in wire rimmed glasses with purple lenses aka Ian Pace style.

Looks like this review by ‘Jules’ where at the end he states….. “A GREAT night out! – Looks like we might try a little writing together too…”, came through. Hard to believe it was over 3 years ago that they chatted and now it is coming to fruition. This effort should be quite dynamic. 2014, a great year for Purple fans. Will ‘Jules’ take part in touring with this band??? What a great ‘promotional tool’. Throw in a little SLASH too? Winner winner.
