All I can say to those of you who are going to a DP concert over the nex few Months is - "Hold onto your hats" We witnessed a fantastic performance, the band is in excellent form and played for nearly 2hrs. It was the 2nd time this year that I saw Purple, and these guys just have so much passion and skill that its amazing. My ears are still ringing ! I am a self confessed Blackmore addict and sine he left in 1993 Purple have not been the same. However, I have seen all the post Ritchie tours and this gig was the most enjoyable since he left. Great musicianship, one or two songs not normally played, and a general feel good factor about the whole show. Lets hope there will be a new album next year as Ian Gilan hinted at and long may the band continue I was at the NEC gig and can say that the band were excellant.
