Whats an A B conversation?

It was just a bit of fun on which MoreBlack plugged in, I thought....
And just a bit reference to the T shirt debate, hehehe

Awe come on Ghost....You are the FIRST to complain about stuff that YOU ALREADY HAVE, that the rest of us 'Non Worthy's don't.....

Changing your Tune?......

Must be schmoozing up to the Big Boyz here in order to get by the 'Edit Police'.....

I really detest 'sell outs'.....You didn't used to be that way...I guess you so strive to be 'Heard' that you must make concessions for who you really are....

Oh Well....

Cheers

Thanks for the email Nick!

Priest, it was an A-B conversation, C your way out.lol!

Tracy, I'm sure there are some here who want to see things they've never seen before, so that must be who this caters to. I also have the 1hr "Making Of Armenia" narrated by Tommy Vance, so this isn't all there is to see of this, not to mention the b/w edited version.

Moreblack, you can do a lot better than that!(remember reality?)

Sorry, but I recorded the original version on VHS when it First Aired on MTV. It's been around for a long long time. The original version is accompanied by a 'history' of how it all came about and how it went down. Roughly a 35 minute episode of the various players and their separate parts played in making this event happen. It's historical due to the fact that it was well known that Gillan was AGAIN fired from Purple by Blackmore.....(who else), and that this tune was also at the time, the last remaining hope of 'True Rock' which was the standpoint for these Biggies to get together for this Benefit.

Soon after, Purple hired JLT.....(We all know how that went).

JLT Out, Gillan back in.....
Thank the Hard Rock GODS!!!!!

Later on, the Hard Rock GODS continued to weight in and answered yet another HARD ROCK CALLING.

Blackmore Out, Morse In......

The rest is 'PURPLERY'.

Cheers

I just hope Gillan will play DP number from Morse era..
not another 'Smoke on The Water'..
Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming will be a proper choice with orchestra..that song needs and deserves an 'explosion' publicity..

I think it's cool enough, if yet a little straight and close to the original. They could have let things blossom a little bit more. Anyway, whatever Brian May touches seems to turn to gold; a true alchemist

When this version of the song was released way back when, I was expecting a stunning version. Did I get that? No! First of all thanks to Roger Taylors terrible drumming. He's good in Queen, but that's it!

Anyway, it was for charity, so....

Surprisingly clumsy version this...Most of the greats on this seem to have lost the feel of this simple but explosive song. Brian May is the only one that adds any credibilty with his thoughful ideas.

Great cause though and must have sol well at the time to raise a significant level of dosh!

Nick,

I appreciate that and the link and will study it, in fact I'd like use that link to convey understanding with my associates, so thanks!
However, I don't think "Prince" and his attorney's will agree, as he has threatened or might even be undergoing a huge class action suit against Google for Youtube and Google's use of his image and likeness, and intellectual property allowed to be posted at their locations regardless of disclams. He uses Websharrif as far as I know and those two locations are under investigation by his legal team. I know it's nothing but a hair splitting subject and should be discussed at a more proper location, but he's pretty big and has nothing but time for slow due process concerning it. My point is that if one follows Youtube's detailed guidelines they would not upload such material in the first place, so someone somewhere down the line is responsible.(not that I don't frequent the site myself and enjoy it) After going over the information in that link, and I'm dead wrong, boy wilI be happy.lol!

Of course it's important to view as much on the subect as possible, whether it be true or false, in order to have a good understanding about subjects of such concern when disgussing them.

About your photo, just a quick question:
If someone is using it as their signature in forums, is that okay, since the forum subject matter is dedicated to DP?
I ask because associates of mine have/are using it, and if you want me to inform them to stop doing so I will be happy to.

CG: this is probably not the place to debate intricacies of copyright, but since i've started it...

the picture they used for the article is published under Attribution-Share Alike 2.5 license. it says that the picture can be copied, transformed and incorporated into other works freely provided only 2 conditions are satisfied:
1) it's properly attributed
2) the resulting work must be distributed on similar terms

what that news agency did is put the picture without attribution into their article and slap "all rights reserved" under it. big boo on both counts, particularly on the second one.

in other words, they have violated both the letter and the spirit of creative commons license, which was designed to make using my work easy, not hard.

the video clip here is used within fair dealing (fair use) doctrine of the copyright law. at least the way i understand the canadian version of it. there are six criteria, you can look them up if you're really interested.

Btw, I doubt you'll post that as the last time I mentioned the copyright Youtube factor it was dismissed for posting, but at least this time it's relevant to the topic.lol! Facts are facts and copyrights should concern everyone about everything, not just abuse of your picture.

More than great, but also see "Richie Blackmore Metropolis Stud.." That make my cry (more or less ;-) ) Again and again it's a crime that RB is not playing rock anymore. He is lightyears above all the rest. Also Ian with long black hair and singing like only he can is just to much for me.
Why cant we bring back the good old days when Deep Purple WAS Deep Purple.

I don't quite follow, what did they do Nick, use your picture impoperly or something? You know this video clip is in violation of copyright as well, although allowed to be streamed at Youtube and disclaimed by them simply because no one at their website has reported it yet,(bollocks to them) and linked here in subsidization to them as well. But as I said, "I don't quite follow" and the link posted doesn't really fill me in, but the rest I said is the gospel according to violation of intellectual property of the TV company that aired it. Not that I really care, but it's a fact.
