Well, it certainly is sobering, if that is what is meant by not feeling a state of euphoria listening to it.
I did NOT say I d not like it later somehow, doubt it though, thats all.

I DO write enough about what I like, this is really quite absurd.
Even better, I write very much about things I like, probably too much.

Sorry to reply to that first, it was good.

So you have formed an early opinion of 'OETM' just as thousands already have, and it's not for you... well, it wasn't created for you then... there is a reason for everything. Thanks for sharing, much appreciated.(I wasn't indicating to begin with that you should like it, I knew you wouldn't, you don't talk much about anything you like)

Show me something about my statements which are confusing....
I actually have gone out of my way on this site, to explain in detail how I view and answer entries. I could understand your point if you had just began to read my stuff for the first time. My pretzel sarcastic ways of expressing myself can lead one to the wrong interpretation I'm sure. But you and I have been round and round over and over again, and for you to maintain your ignorance as to what I mean is an obvious sign as to why you keep repeating your Blackmore stuff over and over again, which with all due respects, is the actual only conflict you and I have. Yes we go at it over other issues too, but it usually begins after YOU make your typical Blackmore/Morse statements and then I hammer you for it. Maybe you have burned enough brain cells to the point you forget 5 minutes ago, causing you to forget what you keep saying. Maybe that's why you constantly bring up the LOSS of your hero. Maybe it's like 'Groundhog Day' for you. Every day you wake up, you are hit with the fact that Blackmore left Deep Purple as if it just happened. That's not such a bad thing sometimes. That way every time you hear a song....it's like hearing it for the first time, or when your friends come to visit, it's like you just met for the first time each time....LOL...

Macho? I'm not sure what gives you that idea. If calling a spade a spade and having no problem being who I am, without worrying about being PC makes me Macho, then so be it. Actually I am a very passive/sensitive sort whom just has a low tolerance for repeated stupidity....

Yes, I love to hunt and fish, listen to music, play music, am a strong believe in knowing right from wrong, believe in Capital Punishment, believe in the 2nd Amendment Right to Bear Arms and protect myself, my family and my property, believe people should be held accountable for their actions and be responsible and not rely on Government to live, love animals (eat most), totally believe in that Marriage between a Man and Woman is the ONLY way. Anything else is just an excuse for a mental disorder...or just plain wrong (though I don't mind watching a couple of hot chicks explore with each other......he he he).

Hell, I even cry at Movies for god's sake.......

Oh, did mention that I LOVE DEEP PURPLE? Even without Blackmore?

Cheers

@ 13 , Oh Dear......

I d have love to like OETM but I cannot

Yet....

Maybe it will better, I m afraid not

Not that it is bad IMHO
I just hoped for something else

I think he can do lots better

@ 14

I should ignore you but I m hopeless

You are very confused

I notice parallels between you and me
I notice your soft spots for loved ones and animals, which I can appreciate

But like I said, conflicting levels in yourself can be confusing
I empathize
I love animals and also eat them, thats difficult

You have nice traits but at the same time you like to act like a fool, distort truth or you think you are Mister Macho.

Have GOOD DAY

Thanks, it's only one of a hundred some odd interviews in the OETM campaign.

@9
I laugh in that direction, only much louder!
There are three or four hugely fraudulant statements in there... "stage actor?" We're discussing legal matters in another thread, talk about poor journalism. All they had to do was use his outdated Myspace bio to see that he only sang the part of Christ on the album. And read some of the other crap in there... someone should call the research department and give them a tip and tell them not to work there. lol!

Hey CG,

Nice job with the interview. Loved your segway into delving into the 'Next Purple Record' toward the end. We can only hope.....

I finally got a chance to listen to OETM. What a great record. He sounds so relaxed and totally in to this effort. Great listen. A hint is there at times from the Gillan days and there is some Accidentally on Purpose waves in there also. This is a very classy production which takes him away from the 'hard rock' typical expectation. Hopefully he will make this the release he has been needing, away from the Purple surroundings, thus opening the door for that 'Balls to the Wall' Purple effort we are all hoping to take place soon, down the road.

Overall, I loved this CD and have played it 4 times now.......

Thanks Larry for sharing the interview with us,
and Thanks Ian for another masterpiece for our listening pleasure...

Cheers

damn…. USA dissapoints Ian Gillan once more, by sorting the facts mistakenly…. The last ridiculous one appeared on the RockLine radio website. They tell us Gillan’s short biography, and they [RockLine] say: “When Deep Purple reunited in 1985, it was NOT Ian Gillan, but it was Joe Lynn Turner who was the frontmen for the band, Gillan only reunited Deep Purple in 1992″

hahahaha

Full swing eh?

It's been swinging for the last two or three weeks now!
I'd say it's already in full swing... next week he'll be on the ROCKLINE in the US, as well.
My interview is done and will be online today or tomorrow.
This album is all Ian, and he is backed wonderfully by an eccentuating group of musicians, which should be the point when recording a solo album.
