A good friend of mine is a jobbing musician, guitarist,
and he “has” to play covers almost every week to make a living…he loves what he does(playing/singing), and I dont’t ridicule/critizice him for doing that, on the contrary! So, let the No-Hopers bitch about, they never got past the starting-line for a start(JLT did, A Big Time!), that’s for sure!!!

Glad to see that Joe is getting a livealbum out. Ofcourse it takes about five seconds before the negativitism that often follows Turner around here pops up. If Joe wants to release a live version of “Burn”, why should that be a problem? I didn´t hear this sort of thinking when Blackmore recorded a Bob Dylan song a few years back…

I think the tracklist looks just fine, it is a fine selection of songs.

I saw him sing “Stormbringer” once, and it was very good indeed. The guy can sing.

I think they’re all great. The second one is a little bit weak. But I like good music. And JLT makes good music. I don’t care if he’s better or worse than anyone else. I dont’t care if he’s heavier or softer than whatever. I love DP but it’s not the only band I listen. Again: I like good music. It’s all about that. And nothing else matters.

I saw Turner in Sao Paulo and he sang very well, Rainbow songs, solo career, Malmsteen songs and even 1 from Sunstorm. Great set list, well balanced.

Now, BURN and songs from Rainbow only ???

Got no problem with the title just the set list. If he wanted to do a track from his time in DP then why not “Fire In The Basement” or “King Of Dreams” but “BURN”???? Christ,ole’ Cov’ can’t sing it properly anymore and only The Voice Of Rock still has the pipes to handle it. Actually with all the solo stuff JOLT has done he should be putting those songs on his live releases or even a Yngwie track. Regards,Drdp

Calling “Live in Germany” an “unimaginative” title is another example of Turner-bashing. Rainbow had the unimaginative title of “Live in Germany” with no complaints, not to mention the “unimaginative” Purple album “Live in London” etc., etc., ad nauseum.
