Most of the time I let some else 'complete' me.

but

Sometimes 'I complete' myself.....

I understand the Mormons dont practice it at all!! Mind you, we only have their word for it!

When the tension gets to much........

Maybe theirs limit to the amount of time they can inhabit the stage. Not necessarily a limit imposed by the host, but more likely a health limit.

These 'boys' aint so young. At 60+ maybe staying vertical for more than 1 hour becomes difficult. Bad hips, arthritis, varicose veins, and maybe incontinence, these are all issues to consider and that may effect the 'not so young'.

Its a case of weighing up performance time against venue attendance and relating it all to pension fund requirements.

The show will go on...........but its the final encore.

Freud, Jung?? No.......Im an advocate of Milligan........'Money can't buy you happiness but it does bring you a more pleasant form of misery'.

”Good Night, you’ve been great”.

Short is better sometimes,I learned.

And I am not of the school of Freud.

I reckon Jung had more to offer in the end.

And I feel it's better for my health if I complete myself first.

There are many suggestions on songs. They vary as much as the amount of songs there are to choose from. There truly is no "Bad Set List". My arguement has always been the length of time they play. 1 to 1 and a half hours for a concert is an insult. I don't care what songs they play to be honest. I expect a 2 to 3 hour show. Leaning on 3. May it be many songs or extended versions or better yet, both. That is what makes a good show. You can't tease a group of fat rocking drinkers long enough to get them all riled up and then say......"Good Night, you've been great". It's about getting "Bang for the Buck" and 1-1/2 hours just doesn't cut it. That would remove most of the complaints about song selection. There is a fine line between being happy about hearing certain songs and being entertained long enough. Long enough always is a sure winner. Just ask the girls you hang out with.....he he he.

I do agree about the Morse era percentage though. It's time to make that the majority of tunes. Do that and extend them into a 2 to 3 hour show and they will find themselves being worshiped completely. Even the 'Blackmore Groupies' would be saying......"Ritchie who? (Just for you Priest and the other 'RB' anals)....he he he!

They only have so many years left. This is how they should finish up.

Cheers......and you still complete me Priest.

These shows should be filmed for DVD release.

This is all fine and dandy, and I truly respect him doing what he is inspired to do, BUT......Isn't it time that Jon Lord and Ritchie put their "mannly pants" back on and make an effort to release a "Balls to the Wall" Rock Record? I'm not talking a BS "Purple Rainbow" Tribute effort. I'm talking a creative collaberative effort of pure music. I'd love to see these 2 get together with a bass player and drummer (no Ex-Purple types) and do some awesome instrumental tunes. Whatever inspires them, Blues, Hard Rock, the works. That is something to look forward to and push for.
