Blackmore’s tact is admirable. References to the ability to play whatever he wants instead of the same thing every night and the freedom to do cover songs was only a passing reference to Deep Purple without mentioning names, rather than come right out and say so-and-so is an “intellectual dwarf,” etc.

Blackmore has been very silent about comments related to Purple, but the volleys coming the other way are very frequent. He seems to be very careful not to “say too much.” I admire his tactful stance.
