Yesterday it was Glenn Hughes concert at Verviers, Spirit of 66… I had invited some very good friends of mine who had never saw a Hughes concert. I wanted to estonished them with a real legend burning a stage.
It was total succesfull !
First, the club was full, and when the concert began, after the first note everybody knew it will be a real huge level concert.
Good drummer, good keyboards player, two real guitars heroes…JJ Marsh and the young guitar player made a lot of marvelous guitar parts with each time a lot of smile ! .Luis Maldonado gave us a brillant “funk guitar lesson”, JJ Marsh have a very fine way of playing the guitar.
Great Great Great Great Vocalist, Mr Glenn Hughes, THE VOICE OF ROCK was at the top of his art ! And he played the bass like a devil.
The new songs are very good, …and the old ones too.
What about the very old Ones (DP heritage)? Like each time it put the audiance on fire !
The sound was very good, except that guitars parts are a bit low in the mix, so we missed a lot of sensible notes… but it doesn’t matter: the show was great.
My friends were surprised and happy: Glenn Hughes …THE VOICE OF ROCK is a reality !
Glenn, and your marvelous band: you come back when you will: we’ll be there !
