Hello all! Unfortunately, this write-up is not a review. I’m just curious to see who went to this show. I had family obligations on the original show date and on the make-up date Detroit had a nasty winter snowstorm move through the area. Leaving work I would have arrivied late anyway. In this area of the world in Glenn Hughes travels, I know MOST people don’t know him. To my inner circle I had to tell them he sang on that Deep Purple song “Burn”. Being a fan of his work with Purple and Sabbath, I’m dying to know what the set-list was. Also It would have been a shame not hearing anything from the underrated Iommi-Hughes “FUSED” project.
Before this show, there was an interesting write-up in our local paper focused on the drummer Chad Smith. He is from Michigan, so what little was mentioned about Glenn was taken up about Chad’s break from touring with The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Is this why Glenn’s band came to the Detroit area? He seems better off outside of the US to draw a crowd. Oh well, Good luck!
