A Killer Concert, from a Killer Group!!!

Firstly, picture this: two 15 year old boys, a guitarist and bass player who play DEEP PURPLE stuff in a band together, going to see their heroes live in concert for the first time! At the Royal Albert Hall, with special guests and THE LONDON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA!!! It was quite an amazing feeling!

Myself, being a guitarist, and follower of Blackmore, didn't know what to expect from Morse at the CONCERTO, but when we got in, and Steve played one note, that was it, we were lost!!! He blew us away!!
The only thing that annoyed me was these drunks that were shouting out and being rude. I thought that was aweful. :(

Jon Lord's PICTURED WITHIN stuff was just so beautiful. I felt so emotional about the first track, PICTURED WITHIN. I almost started crying! Maybe because I was with my best mate, and being at the best time of my life!!!
But, the Concerto was amazing! Paice is still a killer drummer, the drum intro to PICTURES OF HOME blew me away! A track that I had been listening to for about 2 years on Machine Head, was being projected through some HUGE SPEAKERS!! LIVE IN FRONT OF ME!!! Wow! What a buzz we got from it!!!

From where we were sitting, we were the only ones head banging! And the youngest fans there!!! I thought there would be alot more head banging going on during the end CLASSIC TRACKS, but we were the only ones head banging!!! :)
TED THE MECHANIC, SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE SCREAMING were incredible!! My mate, Pete, loved SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE SCREAMING, he thought it was great! Then came WATCHING THE SKY, from the ABANDON album. I had'nt heard this before, and was very impressed!!! :)
PICTURES OF HOME, was truly amazing! After PICTURES OF HOME, me and my mate were the only people standing where we were, and ROGER GLOVER saw us waving our arms in the air, and he gaves us THUMBS UP!!! (Probably because my mate was the only INDIAN PERSON THERE!! :( ) Wow! One of my heroes acknowlodging us!
SMOKE ON THE WATER... That was it, i didn't know whether to head bang, or clap! I tried both, but it was very hard! So I clapped!! I was clapping so hard that my watch fell off about 3 times!!!! :)
The ORCHESTRA and the KICK HORNS joining in for SMOKE ON THE WATER at the end was amazing! I was singing so loud, that I couldn't talk after it!!! We were still clapping 10 minutes after it was over!! And Ian came out to the microphone and said, "We can't play anymore, because Jon's just been sick!". It was fantastic! A night any young person will cherish forever!

As for me and my mate:
"No matter what we get out of this I know we'll never forget"

Matt Love and Pete Patel, both 15 years old.
